Who can apply

You can apply if your organisation is one of the following:

  • constituted voluntary or community organisation
  • constituted group or club
  • registered charity
  • not-for-profit company
  • community interest company (CIC)
  • social enterprise
  • school (as long as your project involves, benefits the communities around the school and is outside any statutory provision)
  • statutory body (including local authorities, health boards, and town, parish or community councils)

You can also apply as a partnership of organisations. Any partner receiving funding must be one of the types listed above.

At least 80% of people who benefit from your project must live in Wales.

Board or committee requirements

You need at least 3 board or committee members who are not related.

If you're a company (including companies that are also registered as charities), you must have at least 3 directors who are not related.

We consider people to be related if they:

  • are married or in a civil partnership
  • are in a long-term relationship or live together
  • are part of the same family
